Mastering Samples

Here are some before and after examples of my work, in 320 KBPS MP3 format.  The “before” samples have been normalized, just to be fair.  Compare the “after” samples  to other albums of similar style you may have. (Try to compare MP3s to other MP3s to be fair .)

Each of the samples here are examples of mastering where minimal interference with the original recording style was intended, while giving the music the necessary volume and frequency balance.

When you listen back, pick a volume level that is comfortable and then adjust the “before” sample to play back at the same level as the “after”sample.  Listen closely to hear how the instruments are “glued”together.  Hear the substantial volume boost with no discernible distortion.  Notice that the low end is clear and tight while unwanted ultra ultra low bass has been removed (this gives you better stereo to stereo compatibility).   Notice that I have not added too much to the sound, I only made it better.  I am aiming for long term listener commitment and enjoyment of each album!
